India’s Forex Reserves Drop By $1.5 Bn to $575.3 Bn As Of Feb 3

Country’s foreign currency assets a major component of the reserves, declined by USD 1.323 billion to USD 507.695 billion

According to RBI data, India’s forex reserves snapped a three-week rising trend to fall by USD 1.494 billion to reach USD 575.267 billion as of February 3.

During the abovementioned period, country’s foreign currency assets a major component of the reserves, declined by USD 1.323 billion to USD 507.695 billion.

RBI data suggests that gold reserves too decreased by USD 246 million to USD 43.781 billion.

The forex reserves were poised at USD 576.76 billion, reporting a jump of USD 3.03 billion in the previous reporting week.

Rupee in the week ending February 3 was also down 0.7 per cent against the US dollar in the same week, trading in a wide range of 81.49 to 82.31.
