India’s Covid-19 Vaccination Coverage Inching Towards 200 Cr Mark

The ministry said that so far, more than 3.01 crore (3,01,97,120) adolescents have been administered the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine

India’s Covid-19 vaccination coverage has exceeded 190 crore (1,90,00,94,982) through 2,35,96,683 sessions, said the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare on Saturday. 

The ministry said that so far, more than 3.01 crore (3,01,97,120) adolescents have been administered the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine. 

India’s active caseload currently stands at 20,303. Active cases now constitute 0.05 per cent of the country's total positive cases.

Consequently, India’s recovery rate stands at 98.74 per cent. 3,168 patients have recovered in the last 24 hours and the cumulative tally of recovered patients is now at 4,25,54,416, the ministry said. 

A total of 3,805 new cases were reported in the last 24 hours. The last 24 hours saw a total of 4,87,544 tests being conducted. India has so far conducted over 84.03 crore (84,03,32,469) cumulative tests, according to the ministry. 

Meanwhile, the weekly positivity rate in the country currently stands at 0.79 per cent and the daily positivity rate is also reported to be 0.78 per cent.
