India has enhanced its international ranking for producing the fastest median mobile speeds. India jumped eight spots in the international order for median mobile rates, as per the latest report by Ookla Speedtest Global Index.

India recorded 18.26 Mbps median mobile download speeds in November, notably more competently than October, which recorded a speed of 16.50 Mbps.

The country leapt eight places from 113 to 105 on the global ranking index for median mobile rates in November.

Yet, India's ranking dropped globally for all-around median limited broadband speeds. India was placed at 79th position in the rate for fixed broadband but fell to the 80th spot in November. In the meantime, the limited median download speeds of the country saw a slight growth from 48.78 in October to 49.09 Mbps in November.

The Speedtest Global Index report for November also shows that Qatar is presently leading the ranking for global median mobile speeds with a recorded speed of 176.18Mbps.

For the static broadband speed, Chile has recorded the highest internet speed with 216.46 Mbps speed, and China comes next, recording 214.58 Mbps internet speed.

Chile also sticks around in the top position, delivering the fastest broadband speeds, while Palestine and Bhutan boosted 14 spots in rank globally.

The mobile internet and broadband speed counts the infrastructure or the variety of cabling dispersed across the country to sustain their internet service.

India's scope compared to high-ranking countries in the list is low, and for this exact reason, people record lower internet speed in India.
