IndiGo Likely To Launch 168 Weekly Flights From Goa's New International Airport

This will be the budget carrier's largest ever-new station launch and connect to eight cities across the country

IndiGo on Thursday announced that it is all set to operate twelve daily and a total of 168 weekly new flights from the soon-to-be inaugurated New Goa International Airport in Mopa, North Goa.

This will be the budget carrier's largest ever-new station launch and connect to eight cities across the country. The budget carrier will operate one sixty-eight weekly flight and connect major cities like Mumbai, Pune, Delhi, Bengaluru, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, Chennai, and Jaipur.

According to the airline, it is introducing these new flights to cater to the increasing demand and will improve direct connectivity to North Goa.

Chief Executive Officer of IndiGo, Pieter Elbers, said they are very excited to announce the airline’s largest-ever new station launch with new direct connections from the New Goa International Airport in Mopa, North Goa. It's influential for the airline to have such a massive open opening. Also said that IndiGo aims to provide connectivity to its customers and the country in the best possible way.

The airport at Dabolim in South Goa will stay active, and IndiGo will continue its current operations there, according to the airline.

Prime Minister Modi will inaugurate the state's second international airport at Mopa in North Goa on 11 December, and the airport will start its operations on 5 January 2023.

Apart from tourism, the citizens of Goa will also be able to use these new services to fly directly to many large cities across India, the company added.

The New Goa International Airport in North Goa is most popular among tourists. From scenic beaches to breathtaking forts and glamorous casinos and nightclubs, the state is one of the famous tourist hubs of India.
