The Hyderabad based Indian School of Business (ISB) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the US based Fletcher School of Law & Diplomacy, Tufts University to support the setting up of the Bharti Institute of Public Policy at the upcoming ISB campus in Mohali, Punjab. "I am sure this partnership will generate innovative ideas for both policy formulation and implementation, and create a critical mass of thinkers who would guide and contribute to national initiatives for the future," said the ISB Dean Ajit Rangnekar on the occasion.

The collaboration between the two schools includes:

  •     Faculty exchange opportunities, curriculum development, research and teaching support in areas such as trade policy, energy & natural resource policy, environment and security policy.

  •     Joint research projects, and development of educational material relevant to India.

  •     Specialisations in Masters level programmes.

  •     Joint executive education programmes, research workshops and conferences

The MoU was signed by Rangnekar and Stephen W. Bosworth, Dean of The Fletcher School. "Both the institutions are equally dedicated to providing forward-thinking, groundbreaking research and teaching, and this partnership will provide tremendous opportunities for cross-collaboration between the two schools," said Bosworth.

In April this year, the B-School had signed an MoU with MIT Sloan School of Management for supporting the development of both, BML Munjal Hero Honda Institute of Manufacturing Excellence and Innovation, and Punj Lloyd Institute of Physical Infrastructure Management.

The construction of ISB Mohali is expected to be completed by March 2012. The first academic session for the Post Graduate Programme in Management in Mohali is scheduled to commence in April 2012, with an initial intake of 210 students.
