IPL 6: Cashing In On Flash

The most awaited cricket extravaganza IPL season 6 is making news all over, but what is left to be seen is its impact on our personal lives! Aaj Tak and Delhi Daredevils have joined hands to introduce an entertaining format ‘Flash Cricket’ for masses that gives them opportunity to represent their gully, societies or community.
 
“We are confident that Flash Cricket will raise the buzz around the game” says Ashish Bagga, CEO, India Today.
 
Commencing from 11 April’ 2013, ‘Flash Cricket’, sponsored by Pepsi is scheduled to take place over 35 locations in and around the city and is promoted by Delhi Daredevil IPL teammates Virender Sehwag & Irfan Pathan.
 
Adidas Signs Mahela
Adidas recently signed Mahela Jayawardene, captain of IPL team Delhi Daredvils, as their brand athelete. To kickstart the partnership, Mahela will be part of Adidas’ latest IPL campaign based on the latest cutting edge apparel technology from Adidas, ClimaCool Plus with a tagline ’Loose the heat, keep the fire’.
 
“I am excited and raring to step on the field in the three stripes,” Says Mahela.
Mahela joins Adidas’ athlete portfolio, including Sachin Tendulkar, Suresh Raina and international cricketers such as Keiron Pollard, Dwayne Bravo and Lasith Malinga.
 
Sansui Joins Sponsorship Bandwagon With Pune Warriors
Sahara India owned Pune Warriors recently declared Sansui India as its principal sponsor. 
 
“Sansui has always been in the forefront of promoting sports and this association with the Pune Warriors Team is sure to have positive impact on our sales during this IPL season,” says Anirudh Dhoot, Director, Sansui.
 
Sansui is expecting a scale of growth in the market shares during this IPL season with the launch of its integrated digital TV ‘Brush Metal LED TV’ recently.
