IIT Hyderabad Ranked Number 8 In NIRF Engineering Rankings 2020

The rankings are announced through a Webcast on the Twitter page of MHRD Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank @D.RPNishank.

The Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad has been ranked number 8 among all Engineering institutes as per the India Rankings 2020 conducted by the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) of the Ministry of Human Resource Development of Government of India.

Every year NIRF constructs the framework to rank Indian Universities and Institutes according to predetermined criteria. On Thursday, Union HRD Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank has announced NIRF India Rankings 2020 of top Institutions and Universities for nine different categories along with overall rankings.

Last year, IIT Madras topped the list of advanced education institutions followed by IISc Bengaluru and IIT Delhi.

Due to COVID 19, the rankings are announced through a Webcast on the Twitter page of MHRD Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank @D.RPNishank. He was live with UGC chairman DP Singh and MoS Sanjay Dhotre and Chairman of AICTE Anil Saharsrabudh.

Overall Category:-

Overall Ranking list is topped by Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT Madras), followed by Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IIT Delhi), IIT Bombay, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Kanpur and IIT Guwahati and so on…

University Category:-

University list is topped by IISc Bengaluru followed by JNU, Banaras Hindu University, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham. Whereas Jamia Millia Islamia on 10th and University of Delhi stands on 11th position.

Engineering Category:

IIT Madras topped the ranking of the Engineering Category followed by IIT Delhi, IIT Bombay, IIT Kanpur, IIT Kharagpur and IIT Roorkee.

Management Category:-

Management list is topped by IIM Ahmedabad followed by IIM Bangalore, IIM Calcutta, IIM Lucknow, IIT Kharagpur.

Pharmacy Category:-

In Pharmaceutical ranking Jamia Hamdard holds the number 1 position followed by Punjab University, National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research Mohali, Institute of Chemical Technology and National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research Hyderabad.

College Category:-

Three colleges of University of Delhi topped the ranking in this category, Miranda House holding this position for four years, followed by Lady Shri Ram College For Women and Hindu College.

Medical Category:-

AIIMS Delhi topped this list followed by Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (Chandigarh), Christian Medical College (Vellore) and National Institute of Mental Health & Neuro Sciences (Banglore)

Law Category:-

Law category NLU Bengaluru topped the list followed by National Law School of India University Delhi, Nalsar University of Law, IIT Kharagpur and NLU Jodhpur.

Architecture Category:-

Topped by IIT Kharagpur (WB) pursued by IIT Roorkee, IITCalicut (Kozhikode), Centre for Environmental Planning and Technology University and School of Planning and Architecture.

Dental Category:-

In the last, Maulana Azad Institute of Dental Sciences Delhi topped the Dental Ranking followed by Manipal College of Deantal Sciences (Udupi), Dr. D.Y.Patil Vidyapeeth (Pune) and Saveetha Institute of Medical and Technical Sciences (Chennai).
