Sanil Sachar, who is a co-owner of a sports brand Trusox and co-founder of an incubator Huddle, attend his office to improve the learning curve.

An avid sportsperson, who has played club football in England during his teenage years, Sanil is an angel investor with a vast portfolio of growing ventures that are focusing on emerging trends and needs.

His motivation with Trusox is primarily to enhance the sporting culture in India and help further enhance the quality of sports and performance in the country. Alongside his drive to grow the sporting and startup ecosystem in India, Sachar is a national best-selling author with three books under his belt, with internationally acclaimed work.

What excites you to go to work every morning?
The thought of going in each day and coming out with a feeling of your curiosity being fed, your learning curve improving and most importantly, hunger to set newer goals is the ideal amalgamation for this excitement. Working with our portfolio of startups, seeing sports brand grow in India, are all a byproduct built by one principle and that is to continuously learn more every day.

What do you like for breakfast?
My favourite meal of the day, so it has to be large and filled with a variety of dishes, regardless of the day. I tend to eat two breakfasts each day. One is in the morning just before my workout, which consists of peanut butter on toast, and a large cup of black coffee. This combination is a staple diet that I can't seem to get bored off. After that, it has got to be eggs, more toast, a bowl of fruits, and when I feel I've earned it, I love adding pancakes in the mix!

Any morning rituals like Yoga and Exercise?
The day begins with the ideal tempo when I work out, which becomes my first activity of the day. I train in the gym on multiple core functions of the body and under a train who is adamant in pushing me to the limits, which makes me even more attentive in the wee hours of the morning. On days I get time post-work, I love going for a run in the evenings.

How important is eight hours sleep for you?
I think adequate sleep is very important but everyone has their own definition of what is ideal and adequate for them. My body clock works in a manner that wakes me up in 5-6 hours, but I try and stay in longer to ensure my mind and body are more than well-rested. I've lived through a time of 4 hours of sleep and I don't recommend it for anyone because it isn't sustainable and the aftermath of this approach will catch up as a hurdle. Sleep is the pit stop we need to refuel our systems, and if you refill well each night, the next day will only lead to more tempo and firepower towards your goals.

How do you spend your evening? (Hobbies etc.)
Evenings post work I need to prep my day before, so I do recollect my tasks for the next day and lay out my work and workout clothes for the morning, in order to ensure I get a few extra minutes in bed and don't need to think about these tasks first thing in the morning. I spend my time with family and completely zoning out from my work mode. This is best done when I get engrossed writing the book I'm working on as it's a completely new world I'm transported in. When I'm with my loved ones, it's about playing a bunch of board games, something my girlfriend and I constantly compete on is a game called Sequence (and I think I need to step up my game and improve the tally!).

Anything extra you would like to add in day-to-day activities?
I love brewing different kinds of coffee, sourced from around the world, and India, of course, having some of the most prolific coffee beans makes it the best hobby to have. I'd love to pick up an instrument and my aim by the end of the year is master one (or at least believe I have - I'd let you all be the judge!)
