Hyundai Motor India Domestic Sales Up 9% In August

When August 2017 sales compared with July 2017, the growth stood at 9.5 per cent. Hyundai Motor India sold 43,007 units during July 2017

Indian arm of South Korean automaker Hyundai Motor’s August sales for the domestic market stood at 47,103 units as against 43,201 units during August 2016, thereby posting a year-on-year growth of 9 per cent.

The company has attributed this substantial growth with the successful launch of the Next Gen Verna.

When August 2017 sales compared with July 2017, the growth stood at 9.5 per cent. Hyundai Motor India sold 43,007 units during July 2017.

Rakesh Srivastava, Director - Sales and Marketing, HMIL said, “Hyundai volume with 47,103 units grew by 9 per cent on the strong acceptance of the Next Gen Verna with more than 7,000 bookings within 10 days of launch along with strong demand for Grand i10, Elite i20 and Creta.”

 “In a market fuelled with speculations on the GST cess increase and challenges posed by floods in many states, we foresee that with the strong strength and spread of monsoon and a strong product portfolio strong buying in the festive period.”
