At the 3rd BW Businessworld Digital India Summit, experts from different sectors of the economy spread across different states in India came together and shared their views on the new age digital revolution in India.

In a panel discussions on 'Government's service delivery on e-governance and m-governance', the state representative of Andhra Pradesh, Richa Srivastava, VP of CM's IT advisory, Andhra Pradesh, talked about how the state of A.P. has been leading the Digital Revolution in India. She talked about how CM's initiative has helped build AP as a truly digital state.

"He brings a lot of changes in his day to day life utilising technology to increase daily productivity. He is doing path-breaking work towards real-time governance," she said. Talking about CM Dashboard, she said that it's a one-stop portal for real-time tracking of almost everything that the government does in Andhra Pradesh. Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu uses CM Dashboard where he looks at KPIs including the number of streetlights switched on, power generated daily, water levels, rainfall, tax revenue, forest plantation rates, and government revenue from more than 33 departments for real-time monitoring.

"We believe in digitalization to empower citizens. The Chief Minister's vision is to have at least one e-literate individual in every household and one e-entrepreneur in every family," she further added.

Andhra Pradesh has truly been one of the pioneers of the digital revolution in India. The state has deployed many digital platforms to meet daily needs of the citizens. From MeeSeva to Prajavni, schemes introduced by the government have been highly successful in the past.

For its digital initiatives, the government of AP received three gold awards at the 20th National Conference for e-governance held in January. Keep following the "Digital India Summit 2017" tag below to read more stories from BW Businessworld Digital Indian Summit 2017.
