Amid the assembly elections in the state, Himachal Pradesh Congress president Pratibha Singh on Thursday claimed the ruling Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) is pushing the state into an economic crisis.

While addressing a rally in Shimla district's Rampur, Singh said that the debt burden on HP has reached Rs 70,000 crore.

If Congress is voted to power, it would restore the old pension scheme for state government employees, she asserted.

She also said that the BJP government has cheated the youth and people are hurt due to inflation.

She said, "Congress will form the government by registering a huge victory."
