HCL Technologies has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Morocco to invest in the country’s Outsourcing sector.

The signing ceremony at Noida was attended by HCL chairperson Roshni Nadar Malhotra and Ghita Mezzour, Morocco’s Minister Delegate for Digital Transition and Administrative Reform.

Under the MoU, HCL will invest in Morocco’s outsourcing, which includes coding, software and information technology. This investment will pave the way for job creation in the North African country.

HCL’s investment is in line with its broader plan of taking advantage of Morocco’s geographical location as a gateway to Africa and Europe, according to Morocco’s Digital Transition Ministry. The company’s ambitions will be augmented by the fact that outsourcing has become one of the fastest-growing sectors in Morocco.
