Guruprasad Mudlapur Appointed As Managing Director Of Bosch Group In India

Bosch announced leadership changes on Wednesday, with Guruprasad Mudlapur named as its Managing Director and President of the Bosch Group in India, effective 1 July 2023.

He will take over for Soumitra Bhattacharya, who will retire from Bosch India on 30 June 2023, after 28 years of service in different roles, according to a regulatory filing.

Furthermore, Sandeep Nelamangala, presently Executive Director at Bosch and Executive Vice-President, of Mobility Solutions at Bosch India, will be appointed as Joint Managing Director of Bosch beginning 1 July 2023.

Mudlapur will be accountable for the region's strategic growth and overall success. At the same time, he will continue to serve as Bosch's chief technical officer, the company said.

He has worked for the Bosch Group for over 15 years, holding different positions in engineering and business management. He was most recently joint managing director and chief technology officer of Bosch, according to the business.

Prior to this, he served as regional president and managing director of Bosch Automotive Electronics.

Bhattacharya will step down as president of the Bosch Group in India and from the board of directors of Bosch, according to the business. In 2017, he was appointed head of the Bosch Group in India and managing director of Bosch. He was previously the joint managing director and chief finance officer of Bosch.
