Gujarat Investors To Invest Rs 40,790 Crore In UP

Top industry players like Arvind Mills, Torrent Pharma and Zydus Life Sciences have inked deals with UP government ahead of the UPGIS

Investors from Gujarat will be contributing to the development of Uttar Pradesh now. The state government has signed 22 MoUs worth Rs 40,790 Crore from the meetings and roadshow organised at Ahmedabad on Friday. The roadshow was organised as a prelude to the Global Investors Summit, scheduled to be held in Lucknow in February. 

Apart from these 22 MoUs, several proposals were also submitted and discussed with a delegation of the Uttar Pradesh government, led by cabinet ministers Jitin Prasada and AK Sharma. These investors will be participating in the GIS and will be finalising their proposals. 

According to official information, the UP government received proposals for the following sectors - Milk Processing Unit, Dairy Farm, Research and Development Lab, Training of Herdsman, Renewable Energy, Solar City, Pharma Park, Green Hydrogen, Infrastructure, Textile, Manufacturing, Pharmaceutical, Medical Device Park, Drugs, Healthcare Products, Hotel Industry, Tourism, Chemical sector, Food and Beverage industry, Sports industry, Waste management solution, Multi-specialty hospital, Hydro power plant, Petrochemical industry, Data Centre, Logistics and Warehousing among others. 

These were the investors with whom the MoUs were signed - Torrent Pharma (Rs 25000 crore), Arvind Mills Limited (Rs 100 crore), Zydus Lifescience (Rs 1100 crore), Platinum Tie-Up Pvt. Ltd. (Rs 300 crore), Hirise Hospitality (Rs 1000 crore), TransStadia Enterprise (Rs 500 crore), Vadilal Ice Cream (Rs 300 crore), Shalby Ltd. (Rs 200 crore), McLake Technical (Rs 2000 crore), Azul Denimkart LLP (Rs 25 crore), Balaji Foods Pvt. Ltd. (Rs 500 crore), FTA HSRP Solutions Pvt. Ltd.  (Rs 75 crore), Hester Biosciences Ltd. (Rs 35 crore), Amul India (Rs 900 crore). 

Apart from the two cabinet ministers, Minister of State Jayendra Pratap Singh Rathore and Advisors to Chief Minister Avanish Awasthi, GN Singh and other senior officials of UP Government were also present in the day long event.
