Gujarat Govt Inks 18 MoUs Worth Rs 9,852 Cr To Boost Investments From Industries

Gujarat government signed 18 Memorandum of Understandings (MoU) amounting to Rs 9,852 crore under the initiative of 'Aatmanirbhar Gujarat Schemes for Assistance to Industries', as per an official statement. 

Multiple companies have promised to invest the said amount of Rs 9,852 crore in different regions of the state generating nearly 10,851 employment opportunities. 

The 18 MoUs were signed in the presence of Chief Minister of Gujarat, Bhupendra Patel on Monday. 

Companies related to the business of chemicals and agrochemicals production, e-rickshaws and pharmaceuticals have inked the MoUs with the government of Gujarat, the statement said. 

These will add employment opportunities to more than 1,450 people. Major investments among the signed MoUs include a yarn and PET chips plant in Palsana taluka of Surat by Garden Silk Mills. 

Furthermore, the other investments include a plant by Asian Paints in Dahej in the Bharuch district and Mankind Life Sciences in Vadodara

The plants are predicted to be operational by 2025.
