Gold Futures Fall On Low Demand

Gold contracts for December traded lower by Rs 245, or 0.52 per cent, to Rs 46,642 per 10 grams in a business turnover of 1,714 lots.

Gold prices fell Rs 245 to Rs 46,642 per 10 grams in the futures trade on Tuesday, as speculators reduced their positions amid low demand.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, gold contracts for December traded lower by Rs 245, or 0.52 per cent, to Rs 46,642 per 10 grams in a business turnover of 1,714 lots.

Analysts attributed the fall in gold prices to the trimming of positions by participants.

Globally, gold traded 0.47 per cent lower to USD 1,759.30 an ounce in New York.
