After launching the bigger A1 Plus, Gionee on Wednesday (9 August) has introduced a new member in the ‘A1’ family with the launch of Gionee A1 Lite in India. Priced at Rs 14,999, the smartphone is also available through offline retailers across India. The A1 Lite is offered in gold and black colours.
Gionee has partnered with Airtel and Paytm, new or existing customers Airtel Customers will get additional 10 GB data per month for 6 months on any data recharge of 1GB and above on the purchase of A1 Lite. Also, every purchase of Gionee A1 Lite will be accompanied with 2 PaytM Cashback Vouchers Codes entitling customers with Rs 250 cash back on a minimum purchase of Rs 350 on Paytm Mall.

Gionee A1 Lite runs on Amigo UI 4.0 based on Android 7.0 Nougat and powered by 1.3 GHz Octa-core Mediatek MT6753 processor coupled with 3GB RAM. It has 32GB internal storage which is expandable up to 256GB through MicroSD card.
Gionee A1 Lite features a 5.3-inch HD (1280x720) display with 2.5 D curved glass a Corning Gorilla Glass 3 for protection. It sports a 13-megapixels rear camera with LED flash and on the front is a 20-megapixels selfie shooter with selfie flash. According to Gionee, its independent facial enhancement algorithm automatically detects a user’s face and applies custom beauty settings. Powered by 4-cell technology, the front camera captures more light than before resulting clearer and more beautiful selfie.
Gionee A1 Lite is backed by a 4000mAh battery and the company claims that users can enjoy uninterrupted usage for up to 30 hours regardless of web browsing, reading or even consuming video content. The device is unlocked in 0.3 seconds by a fingerprint sensor which is placed below the rear camera.
Connectivity options of Gionee A1 Lite are – Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 4G VoLTE, 3.5mm audio-jack, micro USB, and GPS. It measures 150.5x74.4x8mm.
