Food Prices Have Reduced, Govt Making Continuous Efforts: Goyal

As per government, in an account of three months the prices of food items are seen decreasing in comparison to the past

Union Minister Piyush Goyal has told that there is a continuous fall in the prices of food items. The government has taken several steps to reduce inflation, as a result of which there is a fall in the prices of food items.

Goyal has given this information about the fall in the prices of food items in a tweet in hindi. He said, 'The Modi government is taking continuous decisions keeping in mind the interests of the people. The continuous fall in the prices of food items is a direct proof of these efforts.'

Goyal has given the rates of many food items sequentially in his tweet. In this, an account of three months has been given as to how the prices of food items are seen decreasing in comparison to the past. According to the government, on June 26, 2022, palm oil was Rs 149 per liter, in which there has been a decline of 17 per cent. In this context, palm oil has come down to Rs 124 per liter on 26 September 2022.

In recent months, the price of tomatoes have also been seen going up. Last month, the price of tomato had reached Rs 100 to 150 per kg, but now there is a decrease in it. According to the government, the price of tomato per kg on 26 June 2022 was Rs 50, which has reached Rs 44 per kg on 26 September after a fall of 12 per cent.

Also, the price of sunflower oil was Rs 188 per liter on June 26, 2022, which has come down by 9 per cent to Rs 171 per liter. The price of ghee was Rs 162 per kg on 26 June 2022, in which a decline of 7 per cent has been seen. On September 26, the price of vanaspathi ghee was recorded at Rs 151 per kg.
