The final roadshow for UPGIS at Chandigarh saw 26 MoUs with investors from Punjab, Haryana and Himachal Pradesh

UP Roadshow at Chandigarh saw 26 MoUs of nearly Rs 10,000 Cr being inked

The last roadshow of the Uttar Pradesh government saw investment proposals worth Rs 10,000 crores for the state at Chandigarh on Friday. With this, the domestic roadshows came to an end and the state government will now be seen gearing up for the mega UP Global Investors Summit 2023. 

A delegation of UP ministers and senior officials, which included Industrial Development Minister Nand Gopal Gupta Nandi, Minister of State for Agriculture Baldev Singh Aulakh and Minister of State for Home Guard Dharamveer Prajapati, reached Chandigarh where B2B meetings and roadshow was held at a city hotel. They apprised the investors present about the state’s industrial policies and also invited the participants to the UPGIS, scheduled to be held in the state capital from 10 to 12 February 2023. 

The state government received proposals worth Rs 10,000 crore and 26 MoUs were inked on Friday. Among the biggest investors, Unique Energies proposed the biggest investment of Rs 1100 Crores, Madhav KRG proposed an investment of Rs 700 crores. Amartex Industries from Panchkula proposed investment worth Rs 1000 crore and Spray Engineering Devices from Himachal Pradesh proposed investment worth Rs 1000 crores. 

The participants expressed their intent to invest in UP and also said that UP offers a good atmosphere for investment and also has adequate workforce to set up new manufacturing units. Prakash Kaur Ahluwalia, the first woman manager of UCO Bank, said that she has an old connection with Uttar Pradesh and the state has changed a lot in recent times.
