The impact of the Andhra Pradesh Global Investors Summit (APGIS) held at Vishakhapatnam is finally visible in the state. Companies that have signed the Memorandum of Understanding with the Jagan Mohan Reddy government have started working towards implementation of those MoUs. Elista, a electronics and home appliances company, will be setting up its manufacturing plant in the Kadapa district of Andhra Pradesh. This plant will be set up with an investment of Rs 250 crore.

According to information, the government already allotted land to the company and the work will start in the next two months. It may be noted that during the APGIS in March this year, the state government had promoted Kadapa district to become the new manufacturing hub in the state. The district is well connected to all major cities by roads, railways and air.

This state-of-the-art plant will be spread over 1,32,300 square feet and will have a production capacity of 10,00,000 TVs & 10,00,000 LED monitors annually. This new plant will be providing employment for 500 people.

According to official sources, the chief minister Jagan Mohan Reddy had already formed committees to ensure that all the MoUs are executed well in time. The state government officials already had identified land clusters according to the various sectors and shared that with the companies who are investing in the state. The government has also eased the process of setting up units in the state and is offering all support to ensure that most of these MoUs see execution within the next three months.
