The government of India announced another tranche of a production-linked incentive (PLI) scheme for electronics manufacturing, according to a media report on Tuesday.

The total worth of the scheme is Rs 765 crore and a big chunk of it is bagged by Wistron, a Taiwan-based electronic manufacturer.

Wistron is popularly known as Apple's contract manufacturer in India and its total incentive to be received is Rs 601.93 crore. Another manufacturer to receive the government incentives is Dixon Technologies, a unit of Padget with a total amount of Rs 149.63 crore.
