SP Jain School of Global Management (SP Jain Global) launched a comprehensive technology, the Engaged Learning Online (ELO) classroom to bring about a classroom-like learning experience for students who can learn online from anywhere. The unique classroom is designed to empower professionals who juggle their time between work and social commitments.

ELO uses a blend of emerging cutting-edge technologies to bring in the rigour of an on-class engagement online and in real time. Students could log in from any part of the world and get all the benefits of an on-campus education. They can interact with faculties, share ideas with their peers, collaborate on assignments, break out into teams to discuss and debate. All this happens in real time and without any loss of engagement. The ELO studios are meticulously designed to deliver an engaged experience remotely for participants irrespective of the location they are in - while at work, or at home.

Currently, only a handful of top schools in the world offer such immersive online experiences to their students, and S P Jain Global is amongst the very first in Asia to do so.

“S P Jain is a futuristic business school that is focused on crafting relevant, practical graduates for the jobs of tomorrow,” says Nitish Jain, President, S P Jain Global. “A decade ago, the name of the game was global. As businesses around the world started going global, so did we. We were the pioneers of the world’s first multi-city business programs” he continues.

Currently, the ELO Classroom is set up in Mumbai which will cater to students across the world, but SP Jain plans to set up similar such technological classrooms in Australia and the US so that students can gain knowledge from foreign professors based in those countries.

“Today, technology is disrupting practically everything, including how we learn, where we learn and who teaches. We are amongst a handful of schools to have embraced technology to craft unique learning experiences to our students. ELO is just the start of many technology initiatives we have endeavoured for the future leaders”, avers Jain.

Currently, SP Jain has opened its reputed part-time Executive MBA program through this technology. “Most of my students are working professionals. One of the biggest challenges they face is managing their time between work, family and study. So, they have to make trade-offs,” shares Dr. Gary Stockport, Dean of S P Jain’s Executive MBA program.

“To better help manage these trade-offs, I’m very excited about letting you know about our latest ground-breaking Online EMBA offering. This is our new fully Online EMBA which is taught in real-time. With ELO, we are still able to bring students the on-campus experience of our world-class EMBA to your doorstep. There is no need for them to come to campus – they are able to connect and learn with their batch mates no matter where they are – at home, work or even at another location whilst you are travelling.”
