E-Shram Portal Will Help Unorganized Workers To Take advantage of Welfare Schemes: Bhupender Yadav

Yadav took to his official Twitter handle and wrote, "Just two days before the e-Shram portal is launched, unveiled its logo. As envisaged by PM Narendra Modi ji, the portal will be the national database of our nation builders, our Shram Yogis. The portal will help take welfare schemes to their doorstep."

The Union Government of India is all set to launch the e-Shram portal, National Database on Unorganized Workers (NDUW), on 26 August, to help fulfill the target identification of the unorganized workers of the country. 

While unveiling the logo for the E-Shram portal, Minister for Labour and Employment Bhupender Yadav, said that target identification of the unorganized workers is very important and necessary and this e-portal will act as the national database of our nation builders. Through this portal, our ‘Shram Yogis’, will be able to take advantage of their welfare schemes. 

Yadav took to his official Twitter handle and wrote, "Just two days before the e-Shram portal is launched, unveiled its logo. As envisaged by PM Narendra Modi ji, the portal will be the national database of our nation builders, our Shram Yogis. The portal will help take welfare schemes to their doorstep."

The minister also interacted with major trade unions leaders and showed his happiness as leaders also extended support for e-Shram. 

Speaking at an event in New Delhi, he said, "Targeted delivery and last-mile delivery, has been a major focus of the schemes of government of India under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the National Database of Unorganised workers(E-Shram portal) is another key step towards that."

As per the official statement, Rameswar Teli, Minister of State for Labour and Employment from Dibrugarh, Assam who joined the meeting virtually said, "The launch of the portal will be a major milestone for the unorganized workers, the domestic workers, the construction workers, the migrant workers, Gig & Platform workers, etc. and will ensure that welfare schemes reach the right beneficiary at the right time across the length and breadth of the country."
