Disney/Pixar’s Biggest Release ‘Incredibles 2’ Doing Amazingly Well In The Indian Market Now; Earning Rs 22.89 crore In 5 Days

One of the most-awaited animated Hollywood movies, Incredibles 2 got released on 22nd June in India and is winning the hearts of the viewers. The movie is getting overwhelming response and the children especially are flocking to the theatres in large numbers for the enjoyment of their vacations.

Walt Disney’s Incredibles 2 is going exceptionally well in India as well. It has made Rs 22.89 crore in less than a week, breaking Kung Fu Panda 3’s record of becoming the highest grossing Hollywood animation film in the country, becoming Disney’s/Pixar’s biggest release in India.

Now, the Pixar’s Animation Studios production Incredibles 2 is a sequel to the same story. The Brad Bird’s written and directed movie features Craig T. Nelson, Holly Hunter, Sarah Vowell and Samuel L Jackson, Huck Milner, Bob Odenkirk and Catherine Keener.

Bikram Duggal, Head – studio entertainment, Disney India said, “The remarkable success of ‘Incredibles 2’ is a testament of the growing popularity of animation in the country.”

The credit goes to the Bollywood Actor Kajol who promoted the film and also lent her voice for Helen’s character, adding to the success of the film. This got in 34% of total collection from the film’s dubbed version as compared to 20 – 25% for dubbed versions usually.

With coming time as the film reaches more and more markets, one can make out that the movie is going to make major leaps as far as the collection amount is concerned. The movie had the biggest-ever animated opening weekend in Iceland, the biggest ever Disney/ Pixar all-time animated opening in Croatia and second biggest ever Pixar opening in Serbia. In fact, the movie is yet to blow its magic in more markets, releasing in July in UK, France, and Korea and then in August in Spain and Japan and in Germany in the month of September. There is no doubt that there are full possibilities for the movie hitting the billion-dollar mark globally that would give Disney and Pixar new heights of success.
