The rising levels of air pollution in the country have prompted the authorities to take series of short term measures. However, joining the race of long term solutions, solar companies are gearing up to accelerate the ‘going green’ race with slew of offers for the customer to promote rooftop solar in the capital.

Delhi based solar company Mysun announced a special scheme for Delhi/NCR customers to increase the uptake of rooftop solar. For a limited period, the company has waived off the installation fees for customers availing solar rooftop facility. Apart from the same, it introduced a flexi-Pay scheme where the first EMI would be forgone.

Announcing the initiative, Gagan Vermani, Founder & CEO, Mysun mentioned how initiatives like odd even are not proactive and restricted to short term.

“We see the problem of air pollution as a long term issue. With all due respect, moves like odd-even are reactive and not proactive at all. We are sure, the same problem of smog and pollution will bite us again next year and therefore we need to think of a long term solution,” said Vermani.

He further added how solar being a 25 year life cycle product is not just appealing today but also for the future and will help generations to come.

“It is to facilitate this mass change that we have made going solar simple through our platform. But since the condition today is so bad, we had to take a proactive step and play our part, and for the same we are rolling out this limited time scheme to help more and more people in Delhi/NCR go solar.”

Terming solar to be becoming increasingly affordable, Vermani talked about the return on investment of solar installations to be in tune of about 20 per cent, making a good economical case for the same.
