Name: Anvi Lohia

Designation: Founder and CEO

Company: Ampana Life

Age: 20

When one speaks to Anvi Lohia, Founder and CEO, Ampana Life, they are struck by her sheer intent to positively impact society at large. Beyond her gentle demeanour resides a steadfast entrepreneur who is consistently looking for ways to drive humanity towards sustainable practices and an inclusive environment where women have the healthcare benefits they need for a long, fruitful career in corporate circles.

A final year student from the University of Chicago, Lohia leads two organizations that are focused on bridging an apparent gap. Her first venture, Ampana Life, aims to help individuals and corporates transition to more sustainable practices through better female health, mental health, education and social impact. The company currently has six permanent employees and works with 25 consultants to deliver quality to its clients.

True entrepreneur

Lohia's other venture, Policy Insights and Innovation Lab, looks to help students get in touch with the tools needed to solve some of the world's most pressing policy challenges. "I noticed that many of my peers were idealistic and passionate about making a big change. There is so much that they wanted to do, but they did not have the resources and the knowledge to be able to undertake it," says Lohia.

She co-founded Policy Insights and Innovation Lab to enable young and enterprising students to understand policy, politics, government, sustainability, social entrepreneurship and more. For this, it provides a four-week curriculum that equips students with the necessary knowledge to effect a change in society and leave a positive footprint.

"Through Policy Insights and Innovation Lab, I hope we can nurture the next generation of leaders in sustainability and public policy," says Lohia.

Innovator to the core

Having started her entrepreneurial journey at 14, Lohia has been an innovator for a while now. But at 20, Lohia seems to have a firm head on her shoulders already, with eyes set on innovation and strategy that's based enduringly on sustainability.

A World Economic Forum Global Shaper and Lean Six Sigma, Lohia continues to look ahead and believes that sustainability is a great place to start, but she isn't opposed to the idea of broadening her horizons and exploring more ideas in the near future.
