Coal Ministry Targets 1,017 MT Production In 2023-24: Centre
Coal India (CIL) has identified 15 projects with a total project-rated capacity of 168.58 MTY for implementation through MDO mode

Coal ministry targeting 1,017 million tonne (MT) production in 2023-24, said Union Minister of Coal, Mines Pralhad Joshi today in a written reply in Rajya Sabha.
While talking about the steps to increase domestic coal production, he said that Coal India (CIL) has identified 15 projects with a total project-rated capacity of 168.58 MTY for implementation through MDO mode.
"Out of these 15 projects, a letter of award (LoA) has already been issued to nine projects having a total capacity of 126.74 MTY," he added.
The minister also added that NLC India (NLCIL) is implementing two MDO projects with 29MTY.
