Chinese Technology conglomerate Baidu is all set to launch an artificial intelligence (AI) chatbot which will be like the OpenAI’s wildly popular chatbot ChatGPT, according to reports.

According to Reuters, Baidu will launch a standalone application which will be eventually merged into the company’s popular search engine. According to the report, the company will incorporate the chatbot-generated results as and when users make search requests instead of just displaying links.

The launch of the AI chatbot is expected to happen in March this year.

The Chinese company had recently showcased three AI-powered tech that could allow users to take on the roles of illustrator, editor or animator and screenwriter.

OpenAI’s AI-powered chatbot ChatGPT has risen to prominence recently due to its pathbreaking detailed responses and articulate answers across many domains of knowledge which could be applied by industries and the common man alike. The overwhelming response to the technology has gotten the debate started on what’s possible with AI in the near future and how it could reshape the world.

Last week, Microsoft announced the third phase of its long-term partnership with OpenAI through a multiyear, multibillion dollar investment to accelerate AI breakthrough. The company had already invested USD 1 billion into the OpenAI.
