Centre Allocates Rs 6,400 Cr In FY23 For ABRY Scheme

A number of Rs 6400 crore has been allocated during the financial year 2022-23 for the Atmanirbhar Bharat Rojgar Yojana (ABRY) scheme since its inception, till 28 November 2022, said Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Rameshwar Teli in a written reply in Rajya Sabha on Thursday.

Teli added that an amount of Rs 8,180.00 crore has been sanctioned and benefits of Rs 7,855.07 crore have been provided to 60.13 lakhs beneficiaries under the scheme

The minister shared data on the total number of beneficiary employees from the states and union territories.

He said that the total number of beneficiaries from Maharashtra 974021 is the largest, followed by Gujarat with an unlimited number of 6,41,689 beneficiary employees. The capital included 2,25,942 actual beneficiaries; the least number is from the union territory Ladakh. 

Meanwhile, Aatmanirbhar Bharat Rojgar Yojana (ABRY) is a central government scheme that aims to help people to get employment. 

The Modi government started this scheme during the corona pandemic when millions lost their jobs.
