As Corona is not taking a pause, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal announced six days complete lockdown starting from tonight 10 pm till next Monday morning.

The decision has taken after a meeting with Delhi's top government officials. The meeting was attended by CM Kejriwal, L-G Anil Baijal, Delhi Police Commissioner SN Srivastava, Delhi's deputy CM Manish Sisodia, Health Minister Satyendra Jain and other officials.

This will be treated as a complete curfew. However, essential services will be exempted during and all private and government offices will work remotely.

Delhi recorded 286 new COVID-19 cases and two deaths on Sunday, while the positivity rate stood at 0.31 per cent amid a sudden surge in incidences, as per data shared by the health department.

The city registered 321 new coronavirus cases, the highest daily count in nearly one-and-a-half months, and a death on Saturday, and 312 cases and a fatality on Friday.

On Sunday, two more deaths were recorded, taking the death toll to 10,921, according to the latest health bulletin.

A total of 585 cases were reported on January 1 and 384 on January 4. It had dropped to 306 on January 11 and risen again to 386 on January 12, according to official figures.
