CII Expects GDP Growth Of 9.5% For This Fiscal Year

Amid the ongoing economic crisis due to the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic, TV Narendran, President, Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) in interaction with Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, on Monday, said that CII has said that it expects Gross Domestic Product (GDP) growth of at least 9.5 per cent for this Fiscal Year (FY) 2021-22. 

The Confederation of Indian Industry took to Twitter and wrote, "CII expects GDP growth of at least 9.5 per cent for this fiscal, provided vaccination continues to gather pace & there are no further severe waves of the pandemic.~ TV Narendran, President, CII at interaction with Honorable Nirmala Sitharaman, Minister of Finance and Corporate Affairs."

Meanwhile, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), in August also has retained the real GDP growth projection at 9.5 per cent for 2021-22, amid Indian economic activity has started normalizing and states are being reopened, as the country recovers from the deadly second wave.
