Building Up To Global Investors Summit, Lucknow Gets Investment Worth Rs 56,000 Crore

According to official information, the highest investment has been done in real estate by Shalimar Corp. Shalimar has signed MoUs worth Rs 2032 crore to be invested in Lucknow. A total of 262 MoUs were signed promising an investment of Rs 56,299 crore

Lucknow got investment proposals worth Rs 56,000 crore ahead of the Global Investors Summit

Ahead of the Uttar Pradesh Global Investors Summit, the Lucknow district administration organised a Lucknow Investors Meet on Tuesday. The district received 331 proposals for investment in the district, out of which 262 MoUs were signed promising an investment of Rs 56,299 crore. 

The meet was organised by the Lucknow District Administration and IIA Lucknow Chapter at Indira Gandhi Pratishthan. It was inaugurated by deputy chief minister Brajesh Pathak. Union Minister for Housing and Urban Affairs Kaushal Kishore and UP PWD Minister Jitin Prasada were also present on the occasion. 

It may be recalled that the Uttar Pradesh government, led by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, is organising the UP Global Investors Meet in the state capital from 10 to 12 February 2023. The state government has kept a target of investment worth Rs 10 lakh crore into the state from across the globe. The district investors meets are a part of the grand event. 

According to official information, the highest investment has been done in real estate by Shalimar Corp. Shalimar has signed MoUs worth Rs 2032 crore to be invested in Lucknow. Apart from Shalimar, other investors include Omaxe Ltd. (Rs 1500 crore), Amravati Residency Ltd. (Rs 1400 Crore), Risita Developers Pvt.Ltd. (Rs 903 Crore), Sapphire Infraventure Pvt. Ltd. (Rs 226 Crore).

MoUs worth Rs 300 crores were signed by LabCam PathLab and Rs 45 crores by LabCam PathLab. The Lucknow district magistrate Surya Pal Gangwar informed that according to the online data of Nivesh Sarathi portal, 331 intents have been filed so far, in which 262 MoUs worth Rs 56,299 crore have been signed. 

Talking about the investment, Khalid Masood of Shalimar Corp, said "Drawing inspiration from Central and the Uttar Pradesh State Government, Shalimar Corp will make an investment of Rs 2032 crore in the construction of various infrastructural projects like clubs, schools, residential projects and commercial hubs. Shalimar Corp has appointed some of the world's renowned architects for the construction of these projects. All these projects are world-class in terms of construction quality and facilities, at par with the projects being built in other metros of India.”

A day-long conference was also held to explain in detail about the new policies of manufacturing, textile, MSME and industrial investment, agriculture, dairy and food processing and bio-energy, housing infrastructure, logistics and tourism respectively in four technical sessions.
