After a big win for Bharatiya Janata Party in Gujarat, party’s senior leader Bhupendra Patel is all set to wear the coveted Chief Minister’s crown once again. According to official information, Patel will be taking oath on 12 December 2022 in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah

The Patidar leader is one of the senior most and most reliable faces of BJP in Gujarat. BJP’s State Unit head CR Patil told the media that PM Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah would be present for the oath taking ceremony. Without taking any names, he said that the anti Gujarat forces have been defeated and people have shown their trust in BJP once again.

Patel is said to be winning once again with a record margin. Five years ago too, he had won with the highest margin of 1,17,750 votes in the state, beating the record of former Gujarat CM and UP Governor Anandiben Patel.

After the numbers clearly showed BJP’s victory in Gujarat, Patel said, "We humbly accept the mandate. Poll results have once again shown the love of people for Modi.” It may be recalled that several opinion polls had already predicted that BJP will form the government in Gujarat for the seventh term with a majority. Gujarat had voted in two phases held on 1 December and on 5 December for a total of 182 seats with a recorded voter turnout of over 60 per cent. It is important to know that from the last two decades, BJP has been in power in Gujarat.
