In the opening hour of trading on January 30, Bharat Electronics (BEL) shares fell 4 per cent after the firm released its December quarter earnings.

In the third quarter of FY23, the Navratna PSU firm fell short of expectations in terms of profitability, and rising raw material costs had an effect on EBITDA margins.

The revenue, though, was in line with projections. After the bonus issue of equity shares in September 2022, the company's board has recommended an interim dividend of Rs 0.60 per share (on a face value of Rs 1 each) on January 28.

All eligible shareholders who held shares as of the record date, which is February 10, 2023, will be eligible to receive the dividend.
