Bates CHI&Partners Acquire Temple Advertising

Bates CHI&Partners has agreed to acquire the business and assets of Temple Advertising Private Limited, a boutique advertising agency based in Bangalore, India.

"Bates CHI&Partners' defined business mission is to create big ideas for ambitious brands," said David Mayo, CEO, Bates CHI&Partners. "In developing our strategy in India we are building a creative network with scale," he added. "Temple is a renowned creative agency with a strong reputation and a broad vision of the world and with them around the table, we will deliver on this promise."

To underline the partnership and collaboration principles of this company, the agencies in Bangalore will merge and become Bates CHI&Temple, with the rest of the network retaining the original Bates CHI&Partners branding.

MakeMyTrip Opts For Dell

Dell, a leading end-to-end technology solutions provider has been chosen by MakeMyTrip.com, an online travel company, to deliver improved performance and high availability for its e-commerce site. The Dell solution, comprising of Dell PowerEdge 12th generation servers and Dell PowerVault storage, provides a virtualized infrastructure which helps improve operational efficiency for Makemytrip.com while reducing management time by 50 per cent.

MakeMyTrip wanted to consolidate its data center on high-performance servers to outpace market growth within the expanding online travel sector in India. The company deployed Dell PowerEdge 12th generation servers to consolidate its data center infrastructure running the company’s private cloud. MakeMyTrip also used Dell PowerVault direct attached storage to provide additional storage capacity for its database and server needs.

Property Prices Remain Unchanged In Delhi-NCR Region In Q1
99acres.com Insite is a quarterly report focusing on buying and rental price trends in residential real estate across 7 major cities of India. According to this report, prices per square foot in Delhi-NCR region have remained unchanged in Q1-14 as compared to Q4-13. On the other hand, an annual comparison (Q1-14 with Q1-13) reflects no change in capital prices.

If you look at average rentals in the past year, there has been no change in the average rents. The unit being considered is a three BHK house.

On comparison with other metros, Mumbai has seen a 2 per cent increase and Bangalore region has no change in property prices in Q1-14 as compared to Q4-13. While in terms of rents Bangalore has witnessed a 4% increase in rents in Q1-14 compared to Q1-13 and Mumbai has seen 3 per cent rise in rental movement in the same period.

Lava Listed Among Top 100 'Most Exciting Brands 2014'
LAVA, a fastest growing telecom companies, has been recognised among the Top 100 “Most Exciting Brands 2014” by Brand Equity in the “ Brand Equity's Most Exciting Brands” Survey.

The survey was carried out among youth in the 15-24 age group, from SEC A. The study was conducted in seven cities -Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Mumbai and Pune. The sample per city was 156, with a total design sample of 1092. Interviews were conducted at Graduate and Post-Graduate colleges in each city. The study construct was based upon the ET Most Trusted Brands Survey.

Adobe Report Shows Online TV Consumption At All-Time High At 250%
Adobe today released its Q1 2014 Video Benchmark Report, which analyzes online TV (TV Everywhere) and non-authenticated online video trends. Key findings of the Adobe Digital Index report show that online TV consumption across all devices grew at 246 percent year-over-year (YoY) with March 2014 setting a new record in total authentications. Game consoles and Over-the-top (OTT) devices saw the strongest market share growth with a 539 per cent increase. For the first time iOS apps surpassed browsers as the most popular access point for TV Everywhere content achieving a 43 percent market share. Browsers fell behind with a 36 per cent share compared to 47 percent a year ago.

The analysis is based on aggregated and anonymous data from over 1,300 media and entertainment sites between Q1 2013 and Q1 2014. It includes 151 billion total online video starts and 1.3 billion TV Everywhere authentications across 250 pay-TV service providers covering 99 percent of pay-TV households in the US The analysis also examined TV Everywhere content from 95 TV channels and over 160 TV Everywhere sites and apps.

Suzlon Wins Repeat Order For 100.8 MW Wind Farms
Suzlon Group, the world’s fifth largest wind turbine manufacturer has been awarded a 100.8 MW order by ReNew Wind Power, India’s leading IPP in the wind energy sector. The project is scheduled for execution at the Bhesada wind site, Dist Jaisalmer, Rajasthan.

As per the agreement, the Group will not only supply 48 units of its robust S97-120 m WTG’s but will also oversee operations, maintenance and service of the wind site over the contracted period.

The  S97-120 WTG’s is set to change the dynamics of the wind energy business. This is Suzlon’s maiden order for its new towers that is specially designed with a 120 m hub height. The innovative S97- 120m tower design is a combination of Lattice & Tubular structure making it the tallest wind tower in India. The towers are designed to harness the optimal available wind resources and deliver higher energy productivity, which in turn ensures higher ROI to customers.

Swedish Central Bank Modernizes Collateral Management
