The Outstanding Security Performance Awards (OSPAs) India Chapter in association with BW Security World recognises and rewards companies and individuals across the security sector. The OSPAs are designed to be both independent and inclusive, providing an opportunity for outstanding performers, whether buyers or suppliers, to be recognised and their success to be celebrated.

The presentation of the 2020 India OSPAs took place virtually on Saturday 8th August 2020 as part of an online Thought Leadership Summit organised in partnership with BW Security World.
OSPA winners were selected by an esteemed panel of industry figures who judged entries using the same criteria which is applied across the world. Each winner demonstrated that they have performed at an exceptional level and has shown their commitment and outstanding performance within the security sector.
Professor Martin Gill, founder of the OSPAs said: “We are delighted to bring the OSPAs to India this year during such challenging times. Security has for too long worked under the radar. Here the Indian security sector has shown why it should be recognised; there are some outstanding individuals, teams, initiatives and companies being celebrated as finalists and winners for an OSPA. Our congratulations to them all.”

In the first Category which is “Outstanding In- House Security Manager”, the winner decided is Col Pawan Bhatnagar-The Leela Palaces Hotels & Resorts Ltd.
In the second Category which is “Outstanding Contract Security Company”, the winner decided after the consensus of all the Jury members is G4S Secure Solutions India Pvt. Ltd. The receiver for this award is Rajeev Sharma, Country Managing Director, G4S India.
In the Third Category which is “Outstanding Security Training Initiative”, the winner decided is Bharat Diamond Bourse. The receiver for this award is Samir Jha, Head of Department, Bharat Diamond Bourse.
In the Fourth Category which is “Outstanding Security Installer/Integrator, the winner decided is Amron Associates Private Ltd. The receiver for this award is R S Kuntal, Managing Director, Amron Associates.
In the Fifth Category which is “Outstanding New Security Product” and the winner for this category decided is Videonetics Technology. The receiver for this award is Jaya Ghosh, Marcomm Manager, Videonetics.
In the Sixth category which is “Outstanding Cyber Security Initiative and the winner for this category is Maharashtra Cyber. The receiver for this award is Laxman Anant Kamble, Inspector, Maharashtra Cyber Polce.
In the Seventh Category which is “Outstanding Information Security Company” and the winner for this category decided is Avalance Global Solutions. The receiver for this award is Ravi Ganatra, CFO, Avalance Global Solutions.
In the Eighth Category which is “Outstanding Female Security Professional” and the winner decided for this category is Sagarika Chakroborty. The receiver for this award is Sagarika Chakraborty - CEO, IIRIS.
In the Ninth Category which is “Outstanding Young Security Professional” and the winner decided is Amanpreet Singh, Senior Associate Manager, Infosys Ltd.
In the tenth Category which is “Outstanding Event Security Team” and the winner decided is G4S Secure Solutions India Pvt Ltd. The receiver for this award is Rajeev Sharma, Country Managing Director, G4S India.
In the Eleventh Category which is the last category which is “Lifetime Achievement Award” and the winner decided for this category is Brig J D Bhasin, Founder, Elite Facilities and Systems Pvt Ltd.
Rajiv Mathur, Regional Advisor, Asia in his Closing Address explained the journey of OSPAs in India, remarked: “The Outstanding Security Performance Awards or the OSPAs took 5 years to make its debut in India which is one of the largest security industry across the globe. OSPAs were established in UK and had the first event in Norway in 2015 and now has come to India.” He pointed out: “It is Indian Security Industry which has now gone global. It is the outstanding performances of our security professionals which has taken the world stage.” Talking about the winners, Rajiv exalted the role of security industry in India said: “Yes of course, we will have winners in each category announced in some time, but I think today it is India, it is Indian Security Industry who is a winner and I am proud of it I am proud to be a part of this extravaganza.”
After the winners were announced, the individual who won the award and joined in to receive the award and thank the jury members as well as the OSPAs and BW Businessworld Team. Professor Martin Gill, founder of OSPAs was himself the part of award ceremony and congratulated each and every winner personally.
