The Bharatiya Janata Party is all set to go Big to mark the 100th episode of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Mann Ki Baat’. The party plans to arrange at least 100 venues in every Assembly constituency across the country where people can listen to the PM on 30 April. This, according to the party, will be a part of its massive outreach programme.
According to party sources, all of the party's MPs, MLAs, and other elected representatives will be a part of the outreach effort. The party will set up preparations at roughly 4 lakh locations, including abroad, for people to hear Modi's message. According to party leaders, BJP leader J P Nadda is in charge of the entire operation to ensure its "historic" success. Each BJP leader has been given responsibilities related to the programme.
BJP’s UP Vice President Vijay Bahadur Pathak said, “The success of the programme has made it clear that our Prime Minister is a leader of the masses. In the last 99 episodes, he has received a lot of love from the janta. And we want to ensure that the 100th episode reaches out to everyone. So all the arrangements are being done to ensure that no one misses the PM’s words.”
To guarantee that the radio broadcast has the widest possible audience, the party's overseas branches and various non-political organisations have also been enlisted. Eminent people have been given access to the project in all Raj Bhavans, which are the official residences of governors, and the residences of chief ministers who are members of the BJP or one of its partners. All Padma award winners are welcome to attend the ceremonies at Raj Bhavans.
During his monthly broadcast, which takes place on the last Sunday of each month, Modi discusses a range of topics.
Started in October 2014, ‘Mann Ki Baat’ is broadcasted in 52 Indian languages and 11 foreign languages. According to the party, the programme has been “a big hit with the people and their trust in Modi’s leadership has increased”.
