Augmented Reality Finds Its Way To Train Doctors, Pilots

E-learning, simulation and virtual reality is the new reality to train budding doctors, pilots and aeronautical engineers. Up until now, they had to train in operation theatres, simulators or hangers to get their certifications. Now they can hone their skills sitting in a room and using virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) technologies.

This technology has been developed by Hyderabad-based companySankhyaInfotech. “We have also developed VR technologies for medical sectors for training medical professionals to help and assist them in therapy, surgery and training”, said Mr N Sridhar, Founder and Managing Director of SankhyaInfotech.  

Using these new VR tools today doctors can visualize, analyze and can rehearse the procedure of an actual operation over and over again to enhance their skills.
