Artificial Intelligence (AI) is already altering the world. The space companies are nowhere back in the league finding new ways to use the widespread technology for commercial and national security applications, according to the Space News media report.

Supporting the claim is Alvaro Alonso Ruiz’s statement, co-founder of Leanspace, a cloud platform for space missions, "AI is of supreme importance whether it is for running constellations or operating any system."

He said that AI and machine learning are to facilitate operators with remote-sensing constellations planning in satellite operations that include running, simulations and identification of resources needed.

Optimising the resources is a real breakthrough to determine the technologies application in building a more sustainable business in space, he added.

Kameron Baumgardner, chief technology officer at IT service and consulting company Resilient Solutions 21 said that autonomous space operations attract machine learning, a growing interest these days.

He added, his company is developing technology for the upcoming space test program and further pointed out the key challenge in AI applications that helps to develop a robust data analytics architecture.

AI is enhancing startups to design and plan their business, said Jeromy Grimmett, founder and CEO of Rogue Space Systems.

AI and simulation are commonly used to refine our working designs, an interesting application to the economics of space and doing analysis for better engineering of services and capabilities, Jeromy added.

The private operators’ lean toward artificial intelligence is likely to bring great support for space business including scientific analysis, spacecraft operations, mission analysis, deep space network operations and space transportation systems.
