National Health Authority (NHA) the Apex Body initiated by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India to implement Ayushman Bharat – Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PM-JAY) India’s first, the world’s largest healthcare scheme, covering 40% of India’s population is all set to mark its second anniversary. 

This cashless/paperless scheme covers 500 million + citizens from poor and vulnerable families. The scheme is portable  (allows the patients to access care from any state any time, irrespective of where enrolled) and provides coverage of Rs 5 lakh per family per annum.

Ayushman Bharat PM-JAY has provided inpatient care in the form of 1.26 crore treatments so far.

National Health Authority is organizing Arogya Manthan 2.0—a four-day virtual conference marking the 2-year milestone (22nd - 25th Sept 2020). The online event that is set to start on September 22, 2020 will enunciate on the achievements of Ayushman Bharat, the challenges, improvements and learnings.
