Defense Minister Rajnath Singh has taken a big decision in the interest of the armed forces. On Friday, he approved a proposal to abolish a rule already in force.

According to the rule to be abolished, it was mandatory for the armed forces personnel to produce a 'No Accommodation Certificate' (NOC) to be eligible for the House Rent Allowance (HRA).

Giving information on Friday, the Ministry of Defense said that the Armed Forces personnel who have not been allotted government house will now be able to get HRA without NAC.

Under the current policy, armed forces personnel have to apply separately for issuance of NAC and the process of HRA takes several days to complete. But now after the decision of the government, the workers are going to get relief.
