The app marketplace is already crowded with so many messaging apps and here comes another one. If Google Duo was Google’s answer to Apple’s FaceTime, Allo is that to iMessenger. One of the reviewers on Google Play put it very aptly “It was hard enough to convince people to start using Hangouts and now there is a new one.” Google claims Google Allo allows you better expression. There are stickers, doodles, emojis, text and all the rest that is already present in half a dozen other messaging apps. The new addition is the Google Assistant in preview edition. Some of the features include:

Smart Reply:
Respond to messages without typing. Smart Reply learns over time and suggests responses to text and photos, in your style.

Ink: You can doodle or add text to images.

Shout or whisper: You can simply say it louder or quieter by changing the size of your text with a quick swipe.

Meet your personal Google Assistant: Find restaurants nearby, share videos to watch, and get answers, right in your conversation with friends. Add @google to your group conversation or chat one-on-one with your Assistant. It’s your own personal Google, always ready to help.

Incognito mode: Send messages with end-to-end encryption, use private notifications to help keep your chats more discreet.

Spam-free SMS
SMS may be history but it is still in use. From banks sending OTPs, to delivery notifications, spam, promotional offers, SMS is still alive. The problem is spam. Reos messenger is an app that acts against spam and junk SMS. The app uses an NLP engine running in the background which is trained to extract meaning from a string of text and filter the relevant from the rest.

Reos Messenger automatically classifies the incoming SMS into 3 categories:
a) Main: Comprises of all your personal SMS received from your friends, colleagues and the others who matter.
b) Notification: This section stacks all your incoming notifications and messages, such as transaction details, bank OTPs, ticket details etc.
c) Promo: This section will compile all the promotional offer SMS you receive which are spam or junk.
