Apple CEO Tim Cook Meets China's Commerce Minister, Wang Wentao

Chinese Commerce Minister Wang Wentao met Apple CEO Tim Cook on Monday and discussed the company's growth in China, according to the commerce ministry.

According to the ministry, the two discussed industrial and supply chain stability, and Wang told Cook that China is ready to provide a good environment and services for foreign companies, including Apple.

Cook was in Beijing over the weekend for the China Development Forum, which was arranged by the government.

According to the ministry, Wang told Cook that China unwaveringly supports high-level opening-up of rules, regulations, management, standards, and other systems.

Over the last few days, the minister also met with the CEOs of several other multinational corporations, including Pfizer, BMW, and Qualcomm.
