Amit Shah Unveils, Lays Foundation Stones For Projects Worth Rs 5,196 Cr In UP

The inauguration included 70 schemes of Public Works Department of worth Rs 405 crore and 24 projects of worth Rs 51 crore of 12 departments including Youth Welfare, Sports, Urban Development and Vocational Education

Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Friday unveiled and laid foundation stones for development projects worth Rs 5,196 crore in UP. 

Shah inaugurated the Kaushambi Mahotsav-2023 and unveiled and laid the foundation stone of various development projects at Kaushambi in Uttar Pradesh.

The inauguration at Kaushambi included 70 schemes of Public Works Department of worth Rs 405 crore and 24 projects of worth Rs 51 crore of 12 departments including Youth Welfare, Sports, Urban Development and Vocational Education.  

Additionally, the foundation stones of 19 schemes of Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana Phase-III of worth Rs 151 crore and four schemes of Health and Urban Development Department of worth Rs 6 crore were also laid.

Meanwhile, the Home Minister also laid the foundation stone of Hariharpur Sangeet Vishwavidyalaya, inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of 117 development projects worth Rs 4583 crore in Azamgarh, Uttar Pradesh. These include foundation stone laying of 1,358 schemes at a cost of Rs 4257 crore under ‘Nal se Jal’ and 55 schemes related to widening and strengthening of roads at a cost of Rs 175 crore. Apart from this, 61 schemes at a cost of Rs 151 crore related to 16 different departments of the state also inaugurated. 

Dignitaries including the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath and Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya were present on this occasion.
