The Amazon.in Gift Card Store adds a world of choices to your gifting options from more than 70 brands across a plethora of products & services.

Amazon announced the launch of its Gift Cards Store, offering a simple, easy and convenient option to buy -Gift Cards from over 70 brands across a wide range of products & services from sports gear to clothing & accessories; from restaurants to spa & wellness services and everything in between.

Customers can buy Gift Cards from over 70+ brands that include Pantaloons, Shoppers Stop, Lifestyle, Domino’s Pizza, Café Coffee Day, E-Zone, Nike, Landmark Stores, Spencer’s, Titan, O2 Spa, YLG Beauty Salon, Lakme Salon, etc. using standard payment options like Credit/Debit Cards and Net Banking. Cash on Delivery is not valid for this category.  These cards can be redeemed only in the respective brand stores. The orders for these cards will be fulfilled within 4 working days from the date of order for metro locations and 6 working days for non-metro locations.

Whirlpool Of India Q1 Pat Up 67%
Whirlpool of India, subsidiary of Whirlpool Corporation, a leading home appliance company, announced strong financial results for its first quarter of 2014-15. Total income of Rs 1,052 crore, grew by 19 per cent on a year-over-year basis with record EBITDA margin at 13.1 per cent, better by 3.1 points, over the same quarter last year and 2.9 points better than the previous quarter.

First quarter Profit after Tax was at Rs 83.0 crore compared to Rs 49.6 crore in Q1 of fiscal 2013 and Rs 35.6 crore in Q4 of fiscal 2013-14, a growth of 67 per cent over last year.

Arvind Uppal, Chairman and Managing Director, Whirlpool of India Limited and President South Asia and Asia Pacific, Whirlpool Corporation said, “We have delivered a very strong operating performance, which combined with an improvement in consumer demand has resulted in significant increase in our operating profits. We remain optimistic about our performance in the future.”

The company is on track with its plans to introduce over 200 new models in 2014 and has already put into market a new range of Air Conditioners, Refrigerators and Washing Machines. The focus on enlarging its category footprint by aggressively expanding its high-end Built In range of kitchen appliances, including refrigerators, ovens, dishwashers and coffee makers, and its water purifier business continued.
