Tata Group-owned Air India said it will raise its market share tally to atleast 30 per cent in domestic as well as international routes.

The airline is all set to add premium economy class in some of its long-distance international flights from next month, said Campbell Wilson, CEO and MD of Air India, on Saturday.

Air India is looking to expand its global connectivity, the Air India CEO and MD said. “We are implementing a long-term revival plan. Air India will expand its global network over the next five years,” Wilson said in a speech at an event organised by the JRD Tata Memorial Trust in Mumbai.

The airline, according to Wilson, is in advanced talks with Boeing, Airbus and other engine manufacturers for placing a historic order that will fuel Air India’s medium and long-term growth.

Tata Group took over Air India and Air India Express from the Government of India  in January, 2022.
