Adani To Invest Rs 65,000 Cr More In Rajasthan

The additional investment is expected to create 40,000 jobs in the state

Gautam Adani On Friday revealed plans of investing Rs 65,000 crore in Rajasthan over next five to seven years. 

Speaking at the Invest Rajasthan 2022 Summit in Jaipur, the wealthiest man in Asia announced an additional investment that is expected to create 40,000 jobs in the state. This would include ongoing and future investments.

The ever-growing Adani Group has already poured in over Rs 35,000 Cr across multiple industrial sectors in the state of Rajasthan.

In its joint venture (JV) with Rajasthan government, the Adani Group has built a 10,000 MW solar power plant that is producing 1,500 MW green power. Further, the Gautam Adani-led company has commissioned projects over 4,000 MW at an investment of Rs 20,000 crore.

“The Adani Group is also making one of the world’s largest bets on Energy Transition. We are betting on green hydrogen, given our ability to generate the most inexpensive solar and wind power”, Adani said at the event.

After achieving commercial operation of world’s wind-solar hybrid power plant in Rajasthan, Adani is setting its sights on additional Rs 7,000 crore investment to double its cement manufacturing capacity in the state.
