ASUS ROG Phone 5 Series Launched In India

Republic of Gamers (ROG), a sub-brand of ASUS has announced The ROG Phone 5 series - ROG Phone 5, ROG Phone 5 Pro, and ROG Phone 5 Ultimate in India. The highlights of the smartphone include, Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 5G processor, revamped AeroActive Cooler 5, and 18 GB of LPDDR5 RAM among many others.
ROG Phone 5 series sports 6.78 inches Full HD+ AMOLED panel with 144Hz/1ms refresh rate and HDR10+ support. The display panel is protected with the 2.5D Corning Gorilla glass. The display also gets the AS coating for reducing friction when hand sweating.
Under the hood, the ROG Phone 5 series is powered by a 2.84 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 5G Mobile Platform with 5nm, 64-bit Octa-core processor which is paired with up to 18GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage. The game-centric smartphone is powered by Adreno 660 GPU.
The smartphones also get all-new GameCool 5 multi-layer cooling along with X-mode+ and X-mode and a new system performance manager.
There are also enhancements to the AirTrigger 5 control system, and the powerful GameFX audio system that is further amplified by the large dual front-facing stereo speakers tuned by Dirac. The ROG Phone 5 also bring back the 3.5mm audio jack with ESS Sabre DAC for audiophile listening.
ROG Phone 5 Ultimate and ROG Phone 5 Pro let gamers make their presence known to the world with the exclusive ROG Vision. ROG Phone 5 Pro features a color ROG Vision display, while ROG Phone 5 Ultimate has a monochrome version.
ROG Vision can display a variety of cool animations that show whether the phone is charging if there's an incoming call, whether X Mode is enabled, and more. Owners can even create custom animations to make their phone even more personal.
Gamers can play longer with the ROG Phone 5 series thanks to the monster 6000 mAh battery, and the phones come with a 30-watt HyperCharge adapter that tops up the battery in the shortest possible time.
Interestingly, ROG Phone 5 Pro and ROG Phone 5 Ultimate additionally feature innovative hidden rear touch sensors on the back cover, which provide L2/R2 trigger functions, just like a game console controller. These also work together with the ultrasonic sensors, the AeroActive Cooler 5 buttons, and the motion controls to provide full control for a total gaming experience.
As expected, The camera module is essentially the same with the 64 MP Quad Bayer sensor (Sony IMX686), a 13 MP ultra-wide lens and a 5 MP macro lens. Also, the selfie camera is also the same, a 24 MP sensor (with Quad Bayer).
Moreover, the ROG Phone 5 series supports an unprecedented total of 10 different motion controls, so gamers can easily pick the moves to fit their game. In a racing game, for example, they can swivel the phone to steer or pull it towards them to brake.
The vanilla ROG Phone 5 starts at Rs 49,999 whereas the Pro and Ultimate Edition are priced at Rs 69,999 and Rs 79,999 respectively.
