ACCELERATE|ENTREPRENEUR, BW|ACCELERATE's business acceleration programme, has picked 10 start-ups in its first batch from 350 applicants received from Delhi and the national capital region.
BW|ACCELERATE is a strategic initiative by Businessworld media group to build a multicity platform for Indian start-ups to fast track growth.
The key focus of this initiative is to make available all relevant resources and infrastructure for start-ups within the vicinity of their operations to deliver cutting-edge solutions and develop large businesses.
ACCELERATE|ENTREPRENEUR is an incisive three-month programme with a focus on knowledge, intelligence and market access. It concentrates on product development and insights, go-to-market strategy, customer acquisition, business expansion, networking, strategic marketing and fund raising.
It promotes professional mentors and advisor participation in start-ups and enables stakeholders to price their participation for the time and effort committed in the form of mentor and advisor equity.
"We are working to change the paradigm of start-up acceleration in the country. Our effort is to proactively enable start-ups to achieve greater heights," said Ashu Agrawal, director of BW|ACCELERATE.
The three-month accelerator programme will allow participating start-ups with an opportunity to interact and be mentored by leaders, founders and CEOs from the industry.
This programme enables specific and tailored interactions with experts and successful entrepreneurs through focused mentoring sessions.
During the course of the programme the start-ups will also connect and interact with various investors, which include prominent angel investors and venture capital funds.
Applications for the next round will be accepted towards the end of June for the Delhi and NCR chapter.
Announcements of applications for the Mumbai chapter will be made shortly.
The 10 start-ups in the first batch are: AddoDoc, AROUND, Adurcup, Chalopadho, EduVision, Instaproc, MyDermacy.com, Play Your Sport, Tpot, and SurveyGamez.
