In our eat-and-run, large-portion-sized culture, managing a healthy weight can be tough—and losing weight, can be even more challenging. If you’ve tried and been unsuccessful to lose weight before, you must have realised that diets don’t work for you.

Actually some diets don’t work at all and many of them don’t work for everyone—our bodies often react and reply differently to different foods. But while there’s no easy fix to lose weight, there are many ways you can develop a healthier relationship with food, restrain emotional triggers to overeating, and achieve lasting weight-loss success.

Have you ever addressed the real cause behind your weight gain? There can be many factors and few of them could be imbalance in blood sugar levels, liver not functioning at the optimum level, erratic metabolic functioning. thyroid, depression, hormonal imbalance, stress or may be the genetic influences.

Some people are also habituated to eat too much as they fail to adjust or understand where to stop. People who are generally bored, sad, deserted or not loved, disconnected with social, emotional or financial standing usually tend to overeat as eating is a bliss and comfort to them. Remember! weight loss should be balanced on three pillars: physical, social and psychological.

I am sure we all must be very well aware of many measures which we usually get as beautifully wrapped gifts cum suggestions such as keeping eye on portions and eat mindfully, identify your emotional triggers, opt for low energy -dense food, don’t drink your calories, don’t starve, drink water before meals and many more.
